The WEPED SST goes beyond what is often considered a scooter. We’re talking about a stand-up scooter that has the same amount of power as a small motorcycle but is lighter.
The Wiped FF, which we recently got our hands on, was beyond stunning. It was thrilling, alluring, really fast, and looked fantastically mechanical. But it’s not often that we can declare that the WEPED SST not only destroys a 12,000-watt hyper scooter, but we’ve also identified a scooter that does so.
The SST’s acceleration is nothing short of supernatural and unsafe for most riders. This ISN’T a scooter for anyone other than experienced scooter riders who understand how to control power delivery and prevent situations like unexpected impacts and speed wobble (essentially anything that could knock you off the scooter).
The Lowdown on Weped SST
The weped ssr scooter enters the hyper scooter category with a bang thanks to its extreme speed, size, and beefiness. Sincerely, there aren’t many other scooters with this kind of power.
There aren’t many electric scooters that can produce more than 16 kW (yeah, that’s right, 16 KW per motor), with the exception of the RION scooters (namely the RION THRUST and RE90).
The two BLDC hub motors can reach 80 mph in less than 12 seconds and have a potential max output of over 800 amps, but again, how you ride it is crucial because the Weped SST (like the FF) can overload the controllers, leading to a voltage drop and completely cut out (only solvable by plugging the charger into wake the controllers).
The SST is incredibly hefty, weighing in at over 130lbs (60KG). That primarily consists of BIG BATTERY PACK + BIG MOTORS + BIG CHUNKY TIRES.
The SST is solely a track scooter, therefore keep in mind that if you were to crash on the road due to the WEPEDS high-end capabilities. Of course, you should take EXTREME caution and dress in full motorcycle gear if you use it on the roadways.

How many times can we say this? The Weped SST is a true beast in terms of acceleration and top speed. By utilizing active motor control, the Weped SST makes acceleration from a standing start more controlled.
The SST will regulate the amount of power provided to each tire, much like the FF, so that torque is delivered in a gradual ascending curve before becoming powerful. Active motor control (AMC) allows riders to start off fairly quickly, but not so quickly that the motors spin the wheels and the traction is lost too soon.
Without active motor control, sustaining traction is nearly impossible given the SST’s output of over 33kw (16kw) per wheel (even with bigger shrink tires).
Weped SST passengers will experience a powerful takeoff and a surprising surge of power. Losing traction is significantly more challenging while traveling swiftly, but make no mistake,
Regardless, the SST will lose traction. When driving, aggressive acceleration is considerably simpler to control than when beginning from a stop.

130 km/h is the highest speed of the Weped SST (80 mph). With a rider weighing 70 kg, we were able to record the maximum speed on STRAVA (GPS) at 77.9 mph. We should be able to achieve 80 mph with a somewhat trained battery, but that was before the scooter had gone through any number of battery cycles.
There is no reason the WEPED couldn’t accomplish MORE while descending a slope since this was done on level terrain (85 mph and beyond are theoretically achievable).
Let’s face it, who wants to ride a scooter with tiny wheels at 80+ mph? The SST will swing if you’re traveling at 80 mph on uneven ground, especially if it doesn’t have a damper when you first get it to check this Simpsons Portrait
We weren’t joking when we said that the SST is quick. There is a huge difference, and even entering this region makes acceleration gains exceedingly difficult. However, the data don’t seem to show that it has much of an acceleration advantage over the FF.
The Weped SST’s 72v 45a Samsung SDI 21700 50E Cells battery is massive. The Dualtron X2’s size can be compared to the 3240wh battery’s overall capacity. The SST can run continuously because of this large battery. The SST may have a range of up to 60 miles with careful maneuvering, which is VERY GOOD.
But most riders can often count on a range of roughly 40 miles.
Driving defensively as opposed to aggressively will have a considerable effect on the SST. This is mostly because the controllers and motors are HIGH drains, which means that even slight increases in throttle would result in a decrease in range.
We doubt that Weped could have crammed much more onto the deck given that the battery’s WH capacity is a perfect match for this specific scooter type.
