If you’re like most of us, you probably spend a lot of time in front of the TV at home. Whether it’s to watch movies, play video games, or just hang out with friends and family. But if you really want to bring your viewing experience to the next level, why not build an insane video wall screen? Not only will this project allow you to completely transform your living space, but it also gives you ample opportunity to show off your (video) editing and building prowess. Let’s dive in!
Designing The Wall Screen:
First, you want to measure out and prepare your wall for a video wall screen. The best way to do that is by putting pencil or chalk lines across it about every 8-12 inches apart. You don’t need any special tools for that either. Most walls will be pretty smooth and flat, so you’re not going to have much work cut out for you here. Remember too, if you’re planning on using any professional equipment—like projectors—make sure your design takes into account things like power outlets, ceiling mounts, and such. (This might sound like overkill right now but just trust us!) On top of power outlets, also think about how else you’ll be able to get audio and video into your setup.

Installing The Projector:
A projector is a large device, so you’ll need to make sure you have plenty of space for it. In general, projectors are fairly easy to install. You may even be able to assemble it by yourself. The first thing you’ll need to do when mounting your projector is determined where you want it placed. After that, pick up some mounting hardware and begin attaching it in place with screws or nails.
Other Considerations:
Video wall screens are for people who love watching movies and video games but don’t want a TV that takes up too much space. With a video wall screen, you can display multiple videos at once, or have your home theater system play one giant movie. However, if you’re just hanging out with friends, consider installing multiple screens around your house; they’re perfect for displaying different feeds from one camera in your home.
